Send a text, an email, a howdy to your neighbor, friend, and or relative. So what if you can’t hug them, checking on them with kind words is love too.
Both my parents and in-laws are in another country by themselves. I have immense faith that I will soon get to meet and hug them but until then I FaceTime with them twice/thrice daily, much more than what I was doing before. I tell them I love them and hear them repeat it to me. That’s something I will be thankful for today.
This Quarantine Diary series is an effort to put up a positive thought every day with the hope that it will overcome the negativity contagion. Please participate by commenting with something which drives you and I will post it with your name.
Love and health.
This isn’t the kind of post for you to repost… but I just wanted to say you’re right about kindness and positivity, and that has really been an upside to all this that is going on right now. My grandma, who is 99 years old, called me a few days ago; she is using this time as an opportunity to call family and friends. And someone I know on Facebook but have never met in person (we have several mutual friends) posted something about this, I commented that I was going through a rough time, and a few days later I got an encouraging card in the mail from her out of nowhere. (She had my address from sending Christmas cards.)

That is beautiful. I am sure that must have healed your heart in some ways. Thanks for sharing this. I wish you, your family especially your grandma health and happiness.

What drives me is Matthew 6:33:
Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness; and all these things will be added to you.

Honestly, I do too. I may have to find a way to combine the two 😊
